So about my game
Christy Vutam | May 17, 2012Do you need to know about my game? Does this help you understand the perspective I’m coming from? Are you able to relate to me better if you know something about how I play tennis?
Shouldn’t we all have the same perspective on tennis? The point is to win, right? We’re all trying to win? Hello? Is this mic on?
I’m a — ah, I’ll let you (hah, you. There is no you. I have jokes!) discover things about me organically. Is organically the right word there? I don’t know. Someone needs to tell me. Maybe I’ve been using the word organically incorrectly for quite some time, and now I’ll finally find out. How embarrassing!
I’ll probably let slip what level I play and what gender I am – like in the next post – but until then, you don’t know. My fear is that by revealing what kind of player I am, I will alienate those who aren’t like me. Which means, I’ll have alienated an entire gender and all the other rated-differently players from reading this blog. Don’t go! Keep reading me! I’m just like you!
There’s a message here about alienation and being different, but I can’t quite put my finger on what that might be…
